These new Koopaling sprites are absolutely gorgeous. In my opinion, pretty much all of the boss sprites in SMW (besides the Reznors) looked abysmal, and these sprites here are way better. I really like what Nintendo did with them. One extremely minor nitpick I have with them though is that their wands are the wrong colors. I'm probably the only one who cares, tbh.

That's the point. SMW's enemy and boss sprites tended to look mediocre or rough at best and terrible at worst, so by having what amounts to pastel-tinted SMW2 sprites, they are not capturing how the actual SMW looks.

I'm just going to say my piece and get back to what I was doing.

All this commenting about the rips, or the lack thereof, is as insulting as it is not helping ease the pressure. Who gives a flying F how long it's been since it the update came about? It takes time and effort to ensure everything's in pristine order, and I'm confident that RTB wants his work to be valued as much as it is complete. Griping about the fact that it's not here yet is exceedingly unfair to him. Actually saying "I'm being patient" probably does little to ease the pressure of getting the rips right too. Just be quiet and let the man do it at his own pace; he's got other things to do away from a computer screen too, just like the rest of you, so ease off and go do something else in the meantime.
