Sep 19, 2015, 10:56 AM | Kurabupengin | Game: Super Mario Maker |
Wonder if Shovel Knight will appear in the game as DLC or something. |
Sep 19, 2015, 10:38 AM | andreelikesplantsvszombies | Sheet: Mario and Items (SMW) |
woah, what are these red "x"s for? |
Sep 19, 2015, 8:25 AM | SiFi270 | Sheet: Super Mario Bros. Remade |
Is that an aviator helmet and moustache on the Lakitu? If so, may I be the first to say: that's adorable. |
Sep 19, 2015, 8:13 AM | larsenv | Update: Happy Saturday! |
Nice update... I have > 100 sheets I submitted in the queue. :P |
Sep 19, 2015, 7:08 AM | TrinitroMan | Game: Super Mario Maker |
Reminds me of the good old Donkey Kong Country games, except this time, pre-rendered sprites look exactly like 3D models. How the time flies~ |
Sep 19, 2015, 5:56 AM | Starz Lol | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
It's a pre-render? |
Sep 19, 2015, 5:54 AM | Starz Lol | Game: Super Mario Maker |
So the NSMBU sprites are pre-renders?! |
Sep 19, 2015, 5:14 AM | Hiccup | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
@Murphmario What? The tilesets in NSMBU are 2D with something like those negative bits in this sheet. |
Sep 19, 2015, 2:48 AM | Murphmario | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
I told you all that they weren't sprites. Also, the tiles were also originally 2d Sprites. |
Sep 19, 2015, 2:42 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
@Flusak: Not in Super Mario Maker it isn't. In the original New Super Mario Bros. U, it is, but Nintendo deliberately rendered all of the enemies and background objects as sprites with normal maps (or rather, "2D models") so that people can load up a stage with dozens upon dozens without there even being a chance for the game to lag. Optimization works wonders for games like this. |
Sep 19, 2015, 2:34 AM | Arend | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
Yeah, you may have noticed in 60fps footage that certain NSMBU things in Mario Maker had less frames than in NSMBU itself. It also appears that a mask was used for the different shading per level, which I haven't thought of myself. |
Sep 19, 2015, 12:48 AM | Flusak1235 the spriter | Sheet: Bob-omb (NSMBU) |
its not a model? 0_0 |
Sep 18, 2015, 4:35 PM | Superjustinbros | Sheet: Ramba Ral |
No offense intended towards Solink, though if you compare this sheet to all the other sheets done by Mr. C, aside from sorting the sprites of every character into a cleaner fashion, They also have the VS screen sprite, character name, and Character Select image. |
Sep 18, 2015, 3:25 PM | LuigiXHero | Sheet: Costume Mario |
Now we all can make the Nikki Fan Games we always dreamed off! |
Sep 18, 2015, 2:00 PM | Murphmario | Sheet: Tileset (SMW) |
Yeah. Sea Urchins and Gordos are two completely different things. I'm also curious about those odd-shaded donut blocks and coins. |
Sep 18, 2015, 1:21 PM | FuriousHedgehog | Game: Super Mario Maker |
Where is the NSMBU sprites? |
Sep 18, 2015, 12:31 PM | TheGoomba98 | Sheet: Tileset (SMB1) |
What's the giant flagpole for? |
Sep 18, 2015, 12:29 PM | TheGoomba98 | Sheet: Tileset (SMW) |
@Random Talking Bush: That's a Sea Urchin, not a Gordo. |
Sep 18, 2015, 5:39 AM | SonicStorm478 | Sheet: Rotor |
Amazing work by Damien! I'm glad there are sprite sheets of the SAT-AM cast now. Rotor's always been my fave of the Freedom Fighters! (Not counting the game cast, of course.) |
Sep 18, 2015, 4:58 AM | Verona | Sheet: Aku |
Great! ♡ |
Sep 18, 2015, 4:30 AM | Ton | Sheet: Tip Parakeet |
Is this where they got the Mario Maker bird? |
Sep 18, 2015, 3:07 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Enemies (SMB1) |
@Hiccup: Yeah, those would be the original sprite boundaries. |
Sep 18, 2015, 1:18 AM | Hiccup | Sheet: Enemies (SMB1) |
Are the blue boxes; boundaries that existed in the game's files, or something you added? |
Sep 17, 2015, 10:01 PM | Dunkelschwamm | Sheet: The Dark Wanderer |
Yes, this is Aidan the Dark Wanderer as possessed by Diablo. |
Sep 17, 2015, 5:21 PM | Superjustinbros | Sheet: General Sprites |
The black used to show the spaces the sprites occupy clashes with the blacks used in the sprites themselves. |
Sep 17, 2015, 3:53 PM | Grey_Wolf_Leader | Game: Metal Slug 2 / Metal Slug X |
@GustavoProjectXZone1997 Most of the transformations (except for Mummified & Fat) don't appear until Metal Slug 3. |
Sep 17, 2015, 8:11 AM | Ton | Sheet: The Dark Wanderer |
Isn't this the Dark Wanderer aka Diablo? |
Sep 17, 2015, 4:00 AM | Flusak1235 the spriter | Sheet: Moo Moo |

Sep 16, 2015, 5:00 PM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Peach |
They're all the same as the currently-existing ROMs from what I can see. The "Remix" challenges use a combination of savestates, graphics patches, chroma-keying and other in-engine coding tweaks to achieve the end result seen in-game. Which means that yes, I should be able to get the iced-over SMB1 backgrounds, too, I'll just need to figure out the colouring manually since I'm not sure how the palette changes are done. |
Sep 16, 2015, 4:37 PM | Superjustinbros | Sheet: Peach |
I'm honestly surprised no one has ever datamined NES Remix 1/2 and extracted the ROMs. |
Sep 16, 2015, 3:27 PM | Pik | Sheet: Mario and Items (SMB1) |
Tall Small Mario is the best thing to happen to the SMB series |
Sep 16, 2015, 2:44 PM | SilverDeoxys563 | Sheet: Mario and Items (SMW) |
Ewww they cut off the feet on the full-speed jumping sprite! Gross! |
Sep 16, 2015, 12:13 PM | Ice God64 | Sheet: Title Screen |
Agreeing with Dazz, that's kind of dumb, mainly because some of these sprites ARE different to the originals. |
Sep 16, 2015, 9:14 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Peach |
No, this probably isn't the actual palette, I just used the one from Super Mario Bros. 2. I don't know where it stores the modified palettes, all I know is that the remixes are literally ROM hacks. |
Sep 16, 2015, 7:45 AM | SiFi270 | Sheet: Demons Gate |
If I wanted to fight demonic walls, I'd fight REAL demonic walls, like Doom II's final boss, thank you very much. |
Sep 16, 2015, 5:29 AM | MotorRoach | Sheet: Super Mario Bros. Remade |
The art style you went for in here is certainly very fancy and stylish. I really dig it. |
Sep 16, 2015, 5:00 AM | theundead101 | Game: Super Mario Maker |
GREAT JOB GUYS |
Sep 16, 2015, 4:19 AM | Superjustinbros | Sheet: Tileset (SMB1) |
Makes me wonder if we'll get a tileset of the snowed-in SMB1 tileset from (Ultimate) NES Remix. |
Sep 16, 2015, 4:12 AM | Filler | Sheet: Enemies (SMW) |
The older Bowser sprites just clashed with SMW's style too much. This new one fits a bit more, but not perfectly. Also, the bob-omb, bone fish, and boo have some minor changes to their sprites. What I have a complaint with is that the P-switches turn coins into turning blocks, rather than empty brown blocks on Mario Maker's SMW. |

Sep 16, 2015, 1:40 AM | LauriAJ | Update: What a big'un! |
So, will there be Super Mario Maker sprites soon? Or did someone already rip those? |
