The walking anim is already complete, the cut in parts is the same just separated not the second part, i let them like this because maybe is possible to mix the heads/body parts and i found it like this on the file, maybe they had a reason so i let it like that.

CrossCode
You're an amnesiac girl in a virtual reality MMO called "CrossWorlds" who researches her past. CrossCode itself plays like an Action RPG, you either shoot projectiles or use close combat, shield yourself and use dash movements to evade attacks.

The party can consist of three members and defeating enemies gives you EXP/Money for buying better gear and leveling up. Plus, you can give skill points to certain abilities/perks to get better stats or stronger techniques.

If you already played a few RPGs, this game isn't very hard. But once you get in one of the dungeons... oh boy, welcome to the Dark Souls of puzzles. Story, characters and the combat system are worth it, though.

@Vanilluxe92 It's a handheld console for a younger audience than most of the games we're familiar with (mostly educational licensed games like this). Oh, and it uses a modified build of Linux.

That grass tile in the upper-left alone has 7 colours on it, and assuming you're not using black as a transparency that means that it would require three layers.

If you're emulating a style, ya gotta stay within its restrictions.

@RealDev You can't use all the colors at once, dude. There's four palette slots available for background tiles on the NES, each can have four different colors at a time. Four colors per tile, including one being transparent.

For Vert's sake, if the sprites are cut in parts, combine them as one so we don't have to waste time assembling them (the second half of the walking animation, for example) :/
I did the same with my Skull Snail and Golden Big Snail sheets

For anyone up for the task, which shouldn't be too impossible - these are quite outdated. There's a number of missing animations for codec calls. The format these are stored in has been worked out, so should be able to compile better sheets. Just keeping a note here for anyone that's looking for these and is interested in helping out.

i actually found the scan pod concept to be the most interesting part of the game. Too bad its not really fleshed out, all characters play almost the exact same save for their one gimmick and the alternate routes they force you to take using them. Having to make you clear the stages with ALL OF THEM was just unnecessary padding due to how short the game is.

Sorry, but these are nowhere near SMB1 NES (except maybe the sunflower and stalk). The game doesn't use shading or outlines, and these look Master System/Game Gear quality.

The Super Mario World pirate has tiles with four colours, but the corners had to be solid instead of transparent.
