I don't get why people hate on Chuckleroot's new design. It looks kinda nice in my opinion. I guess cause the other design is better in many peoples opinion and his granddaughter doesn't help for them. I think both designs are great (and yes I think the gba one is better).

Like most of the people in this thread, not a fan of the redesign and the minor redesign to his granddaughter worsens it. At least make the granddaughter look like a living tree in a similar fashion to chuckleroot

Take a look at his design.... it's mostly made out of seperate parts that have just been moved around to animate him, intead of, you know, actually animating him?
This was undoubtedly done to save work.
The original design was made of one piece, which would've taken more time to animate. Seeing how this game already cut a bunch of corners, this isn't surprising.

And yet his granddaughter looks really faithful.
Did they have two sets of sprite makers or something? First the Troopeas & Dry Bones (Beanbean) look like totally different species, now this guy looks nothing like his granddaughter.
Not only was this redesign 1,000,000% pointless, this is an exclusive character that has no "modern" design so this is a completely original design. You can literally make a brand new character with this design, whereas most of the Beanbean exclusive characters look either similar or exactly like their gba designs.

At the very least he could've been blue like his gba counterpart.

I don't really understand why they changed his design.

What about the sprites where he changes colors?
