This was the game that got me into the Mario franchise. Everything that debuted in this game, the enemies, the powerups, and its depiction of the many areas of the Mushroom Kingdom, have become mainstays in the world of Super Mario, and I am all in for it. This game shaped the series as we know it.

@DogToon64: Hence why I also moved over the respective tSR submissions from NSLU to here, too. Yep, I'm to blame for splitting them originally, whoops (to be fair, though, I did rip those tilesets over 6 years ago, back when we hadn't fully decided how DLC things would be grouped up).
@SuperMario168: Not anymore. I just got a PM from RTB mentioning that the New Super Luigi U pages on each site are going to be merged into the New Super Mario Bros. U pages. He also mentioned that the staff don't usually make separate game sections for DLCs (even though it was released as a separate game later on).

not sure, theawsomario said there is a New Super Luigi U model page, yet I don't see it when I go to WiiU, then Pages that start with the letter 'N'. Maybe he mixed up NSLU with NSMBU, not sure.

@Poudink There isn't even a Models Resource page for NSMBU. Only New Super Luigi U.
The backgrounds are 3D, so check the model ressource.

Is there anywhere I can download a dump of this games source? Have not been able to find it online and do not own the game or a Wii U. I am trying to set up the Miyamoto Editor, and need the source code for the setup process. Any ideas on where I would be able to find it?
Except for Mario, Yoshi, Bowser and Bowser Jr.. They're still models in Mario Maker. That part's important to mention.
No, in this game, they are models, mostly reused from New Super Mario Bros Wii. In Super Mario Maker, they are pre-renders.
