@supermegakosta: Yeah, there was only the one palette for all of the Emeralds in the game's files.
Ohhhh, I really thought that this was just an old sprite sheet that has not been updated since it was released, sorry for not doing enough research, although I do have a question, why does the chaos emerald and the super emerald have only a single color variant? Were those the only ones in the files?
@supermegakosta: All of the Blue Spheres sprites are on the characters' respective sprite sheets, what you're seeing at the bottom of the sprite sheet are placeholders of the original S3&K sprites left in the game's files (hence the ""Classic" Sprites (UNUSED)" section name).
This is still missing mighty and ray.
@OnslaughtIsCool: I think it's actually used for the dev's level editor, and not something that can show up in-game.

There's a file called "Objects-Classic.gif" in the game's files with all of those in it. So yeah, it's technically from Mania despite being unused (most likely a placeholder from the Mobile proof-of-concept for Sonic 3).
Arent those the player sprites from Sonic 3? They redid them for Mania..
why is there sonic 3 sprites there?
