@mufasakong I understand your feelings! That's why i made a color palette fix mod for SMM2! I even made some other mods for it as 'addons'! =]
@mufasakong To be fair, his original in-game coloring was indeed blue due to sharing outline color and that being blue for whatever reason.
I'm so sad that Toad is not red unlike his original coloring...
The crouch sprites were made to represent the actual hitbox of mega mario. It would look weird jumping through a 1-wide gap if it had the original crouch sprite.

@NH1507: It's used for Link's "Victory" (or "peace" as it's called in the files) animation.
What's the 3rd frame of the Buzzy Beetle Shell and Spiny Shell? I'm not sure what it is.
