@RealMargaretThatcher The opponents did actually appear in AOSTH first. (The very first episode no less! They're a bunch of bounty robots Rrobotnik created and sends after Sonic before creating Scratch and Grounder)
I feel like these fit better into the regular customs section (as opposed to media customs), since they're based on a game (Mean Bean Machine) and use Eggman instead of Robotnik.
