@Ton It's also on the front of the box art, and I have yet to see the artwork with Mario bandaged as being in the same image.

Probably because they're more familiar with the cropped version of that which only shows him.

@Doc In that same official art, Mario also has a bandage. It's implying they just recently had a tough fight. It's the only time Kooper is ever shown with a bandage, but people keep drawing fanart with it as if it's part of his normal design.

I'm pretty sure Kooper doesn't always have a bandage. It's just in one of his official arts.
