I wonder if it would be possible to colourise these. I don't think they were ever intended to have non-black-and-white palettes, but I'd be interested to see if there are any palettes in the game that would suit them. |

Apparently the reason why some of these enemies have a different artstyle is that a completely different Mask game was in production before this one. Black Pearl was given the assets after it was cancelled, and apparently the only thing worth salvaging was a few enemies. Might also explain why the top one has two different attack animations (the cancelled Mask game would have been a sidescrolling brawler) and why some of the death animations have the enemies lying down while others have them mid-fall. |

@Ton Checked the same sheet on the Genesis section and the palette's not right at all... It's using values that just don't exist on the console. The Genesis version also has some minor simplified shading on Rafiki, the sheet has the extra shading. Meaning that it shouldn't really be there and be replaced... So from what I can tell (palette being close, the logo at the top of the sheet, the ripper's other sheets, checking some sprites), the sheet is for the SNES version. Confusing though since the sheet itself uses the Genesis stage font. |
