(Yes, the name was used during development and E3 2011 when they had the concept to use your Mii character throughout the game, but devs decided to use Mii characters as a Challenge Mode, Boost Rush, or Coin Battle exclusives only. Definitely a missed out feature of which you and "Mii" would have loved to see.)
