Update to "Everything" Submissions
Before I go, I do want to make one quick announcement as well. We've changed our quality standards a bit and from here out, "everything" (and similar) submissions will no longer be accepted. Please split up, organize, and name your submissions appropriately. I understand that in some cases, it will make individual submissions very small but the benefit to site organization, usability, and searching far outweigh the occasional small submission. Thanks!
On that note though, enjoy your weekend and we'll see you back here next week!

@AndersonicTH Read this as well
Patience is a virtue but I can outline some issues regardless. First, your submission has only been in the queue for three days. Second, it has no icon. Third, the game’s name is incorrect (you seem to have mashed together two different regional titles). That’s just what I’m seeing at a glance but the big one is time - new sheets are indeed approved nearly every day but the staff, who volunteers their time, also have lives off of the site and don’t spend every waking second going through the queue so as I said to begin with, just be patient.
It's all in the standards, I even added the game because it didn't have any sprites yet. And it is not the first time I post here, so I am finding it strange since new sprites appear every day.
@AndersonicTH If it's in a sprite sheet labeled "Everything", then it will get rejected from now on
Why don't you accept the sprite I sent?
Hi everyone! Just to let you know that I have college. BTW I’m still working on the Kaneko Ripping Project. What similar sheets are like everything?
@Tsukiyomaru0 Did you read the rest of the comment or just look at the links? The search bar at the top of the page uses a set of default settings that may well return far too many results but that’s why it’s a quick search. As I said, if you click on the search link instead, you have plenty of options to refine your search. The parenthesis in that last example were not part of the search query - they were there to show you that the search had been filtered to only games using the options on the page (which, by the way, are also available after doing a quick search if they returned too many results - there are four checkboxes and a dropdown displayed on every search page as well as an explanation for the available search modifiers on the search page accessed from the top navigation. I’m not sure how to make it any more clear.
@Magma Dragoon I’d submit the largest of the split sheets as a revision of the original. No reason to completely delete and the resubmit everything.
@arringtastic1 Hi!

@arringtastic1 Hi!
Hi guys.
One question, should I post one of the split sheets as a revision of the old "everything" sheet, or do I post all of them as new sheets while the old sheet gets deleted?
@Petie exactly the problem, and the "Dragon Ball" example shows it. There are a lot of sheets under "Dragon Ball", and unless "(games only)" is also added (Also assuming the person knows of such features of the search bar beforehand), it'll load way too many sheets. The use of quotation marks is intuitive, but the use of parenthesis is not.
Okay, great! I'll get on it when I can!
They won’t be removed but the goal will be to split them up so if you want to do so for your own submissions, that would be great!
Would that mean all "Everything" sheets currently on the site will be taken down, or not (I'm assuming not)? Also, I'll probably go ahead and split my share of such sheets apart later, if you like (I've got a bunch of those in the Atari section.). I'm away from home now, so I'll have to get started on that through the week.
@Petie Ah, ok. Thanks for letting me know!
@DogToon64 Yes, your understanding is correct. For a sheet like that, it would be best to split it up into logical categories (stages, characters, items, etc.), even if the resulting sheets are relatively small.
@MasterPengo Ideally, yes, though I'm just focused on the actual submissions right now since section headings don't affect search results.
@Dortorpife Yup, that's the primary issue we're trying to fix with this change though it will have the benefit of also making finding what you're looking for manually a bit easier as well.
@Tsukiyomaru0 That functionality already exists. The quick search box at the top defaults to everything but if you click Search in the top navigation (below the search bar), you can refine your search to just sheets, games, or submitters, choose to include the game name as a search field when searching for sheets (e.g. if you search for Mario, Peach will still show up with that checked as Super Mario Bros. would be included in the search), and even limit your search to a specific console. Additionally, you can use quotes to search specifically for the phrase Dragon Ball. All of this and a bit more is laid out on the search page. Here's a quick example of quoted phrases:
Dragon Ball
"Dragon Ball"
"Dragon Ball" (games only)

Speaking of, could the searchbar be improved so it doesn't search in all possible categories at once? Since it is particularly bad if you search, say, "Dragon Ball", as it will default to all games or sheets with "Dragon" or "Ball" in the name, and in some cases it'll bring out an absurd lot of results.
In other words, have a dropdown next to the search bar so you can pick sheets or games

It's a good idea, because if someone wants to look something up on the search bar, they won't be able to see thing in 'Everything' sheets.
Does the new rule also apply to section headings or just the sheet names?
Quick question: When you mean "everything" sheets, do you mean sheets like how in the Pacman games, they have the mazes, Pacman, ghosts, foods, etc., and we're supposed to sort them into separate sheets now?
