I think my favourite part about the SMAS remasters is that the new artstyle each game recieved still retains and even enhances the vibe of the original artstyle. This is especially apparent with SMB3
Probably good for stage ripping:

X lets you select powerups (works), select gives you a star (glitchy, I fell through the floor in world 1-1) and A will let you freely traverse the stage (works).
L+R freeze animations (works) and R advances game frame by frame (works).

Hi !
(please excuse my English, I use Google Translate)
Could you help me understand how to cut sprites from a spritesheet? And how to remove the colored background?
I would like to recover all the individual images and without the purple background.
Is there any software, specialized site or artificial intelligence that could automatically detect?
Thanks for your help !

The ones from the minigame? They're done.
Okay, no 1-up text sprites.
It will take some time, but I'm on it.
...Well, i guess nobody still decided to re-rip Mario & Luigi yet.
Arima's stuff is alright, but the sheets from Nitratez are ancient & off-palette. They need re-rips before we can even think of unification.
All those Mario/Luigi sheets should probably be unified at some point too. :l
@CC2.0, It's been a month, but you can find 2-7 level maps at this page.
@Snowlith: Done!
@NotoBook6: Maybe some animation program.
Where's any other (World 2 to 7) level sheets?
@Dry Bones do you know any program that could imitate the 'wavy' movement?
title screen tiles where?
edit: nvm is in the tilesets sheet

I was looking for the little pop up scores for when an enemy is defeated, but after a bit of research, I discovered this game still uses the NES sprites for them. Which are ripped. I thought I'd mention that in case anyone else needed them.
Hey, you did an awesome job ripping those stages, Murphmario!
There doesn't seem to be a sprite for the world map inventory :/
Welp, there's all World-8 stages. It started out with me just noticing World 8-1's background wasn't fully ripped and led to that.
