Yeah, the only differences between the JP/US versions are just two things. Strangely despite being published by Sony, the Sony logo was originally changed in the Japanese version. Must be a copyright thing.
Then again the game itself is a basic localization, just changing a few graphics, the remaining text into English, converting the units, and the voice of the title screen (but says Extra Inning). It still plays traditional Japanese baseball music and it still has the Super Famicom design on the menu.
