Let's see, i believe you've gotten Sonic 1 done, and Sonic 2 if i'm not mistaken. The only thing in 3&K that seems to be left is the Death Egg maps. If you need any assistance with the tile set animations i can take a swing at it.
New standard for palette display that helps with other sprite rippings I may not have gotten to yet, thus simplifying the later processes, and the disclaimer box which in my current circumstances is very much needed because I've had enough of "there's a mistake here" being out in public - it's forcing my hand to resolve it quickly when I may not be able to resolve it quickly. At least in PMs, I can address it and give an ETA.

Ouch, I didn't realize it was a double whammy.
If you can be patient about it, yes. It just happens to be the worst set of maps for the game not because of the animations, but because the maps are like 80% made up of one kind of chunk that contains said animations.

any chance we could get the Death Egg's map with the animated parts? So far all we have are the non-animated tiles in that zip file.
Regarding Sandopolis Zone Act 2's map being in 1) two pieces and 2) five different palettes (that is, 10 sheets):
As I noted in the Ice Cap Zone maps, S3K map size is an issue for me when working it up for sheeting; I have to split it. Palette-wise, I wanted to be sure people didn't have the same issues I did, especially with "Dying Light" - in which note, the sheet names from this page are derived from what I labelled for the Background's palettes.

In-progress; refer to the comment I posted in December*. Once I've cleared the hurdle of the CD Backgrounds (there's nine left and will not take that much time), then I'll get the GBS sprites done.

The new sheets are literally just the same sprites from the Badnik sheet, but actually assembled.

@The Observer: Sweet. And I assume you're going to align Sonic's sprites properly?
