@Grinder74, @Chilln't, They appear when you take damage after you've broken open a Hyper Ring monitor (the one with the blue ring).
@Grinder74 The only sprite of the Hyper Rings that's used is the front-facing one when finding the Special Stage ring in debug mode.
Are the hyper rings actually used?

@GensokyoZXRedAce: There are none, it just stretches and squishes the sprites and uses the side panels in-game to simulate spinning.
