I just saw some gameplay of this game, and it's safe to say that it's one that I would enjoy for sure.

I'd say it's more influenced by Ralph Bakshi. Some of Buster's expressions remind me of Nails the Spider from Cool World.
@Deep Web Have you seen the gameplay? This game plays nothing like Pizza Tower. The gameplay of Pizza Tower is basically Wario Land 4, but faster and less puzzle-focused, like Sonic or Jazz Jackrabbit 2. whereas this game is an arcade-style platformer where you have to avoid obstacles and enemies while dropping bombs into the right containers before they explode. Basically, Super Mario 64 DS's "sort or 'splode" minigame meets Donkey Kong '94. You only compared it to Pizza Tower for the art style, and that's it.
Yeah neither "Ren-and-Stimpy-esque" nor "hand-drawn sprites" were invented by Pizza Tower.
Granted, it MAY have inspiration, but not necessarily. A lot of ideas I've had for games and characters over the years have been much later used in actual games, like for instance Yooka-Laylee (taking place in a book where collecting pages expands the hub world) or Bendy and the Ink Machine (blob monster made of ink takes on the appearance of 1930s-era toon). Coincidences happen, especially with easy conclusions to a basic idea.

"pizza tower clones" yeah i'd highly doubt that. this game isnt really similar to pizza tower execpt the art style.
