This is a game where pre rendered CG, live action photographs, and stick figures coexist. Being this nitpicky about a part of the game that doesn't even make up 1% of the graphical assets in the game, which I guarantee you didn't even notice had issues until it was laid out frame by frame like this, is ridiculous. 9-Volt microgames were never meant to be extremely intricate 1:1 recreations, they're just bite sized nostalgia packets you experience for three seconds at a time. You can find goofs like this across the entire WarioWare series, and there isn't anything drastically worse about this one in context.

That's still no excuse for Nintendo to horribly reassemble Yoshi's sprites. :/

@John B.
The sprites aren't assembled in the original game, of course they had to be reassembled from scratch.

That second was apparently important enough that nintendo had to reassemble the sprites from scratch, so yeah all points in being picky

You don't see these graphics for even a second most of the time, I don't see the point of being this nitpicky about it.

at first glance, it looks like yoshi was AI-upscaled, but now that i've checked the comments, AI-upscaling doesn't seem to be the case.

@MollyChan: Exactly. :/
@Sanic: Either a Nintendo employee being lazy, or because Yoshi's scaled down so much in-game that you most likely won't notice the quality as much.

I wonder, why Yoshi is the only one that looks odd?

Besides the icky quality, I'm absolutely surprised that Nintendo would actually assemble the Yoshi sprites this badly
Like, nearly all of them have layering issues

@DogToon64 I do wish Nintendo did a Yoshis Story Remaster tbh.

Even I'll have to admit, those Yoshi sprites really aren't that great. In fact, a few of the sprites have his body in front of his head. :/
(But on the bright side, at least some sprites like the egg, block, and numbers aren't too bad.)

Cropped and notevenAI-upscaled.
YOU'RE WINNER, Nintendo.

That Yoshi was definitely cropped manually.
Good job Nintendo.

That Yoshi looks AI-upscaled
