@TomAndTheCats: Sorta. In-game, 32 pixels are cropped off both the top and bottom of the background so that it loops correctly.

Is it just me, or does the sky/airship vertical background not match up correctly?
It's odd that Ghost House uses a full 512x512 image for a black background, rather than just going the Underground route of repeating the same 16x16 image a bunch.
@Naffy zacky: They're actually not the exact same. If you compare the positioning of the mushroom in the upper-right corner, you'll see it's different. Either way, the second one's used for vertical scrolling.
Just realized, why does forest background has 2 exact same texture? (Unlike ground, they're different)
