I am impressed by how high quality the 64 and Sunshine's renderers are.
as someone who has made games and does programming, rendering blur effects at runtime is usually more laggy and can freeze the game for a bit (unless im just bad at programming lol)
I'm surprised the background image blur isn't handled by an in-game effect and instead is done with completely different images in the same resolution as the normal ones.
