This game literally has less pokemon than gen 7

Can we just talk about how the Alolan forms for the Pokémon evolutions (besides Marowak and Exeggutor for some reason) use their original sprites from Sun and Moon? It looks SO bad compared to seeing the other regional variants having newer, bigger sprites.

It's more organized now, awesome! I'm liking some of the icons.

@MollyChan my advice to you is to use the 3DS sprites for Pokemon that don't have new sprites made for them here & then get the rest off of Smogon given how they've cleaned up the ones from the base game & the Isle of Armor.

Can't wait to see the Crown Tundra stuff added to this.

They're not.

Are all 893 Pokémon here?

@DarkModz: There's a note regarding that at the bottom of the sheet, but I'll mention it again here -- for some inexplicable reason, they changed it in v1.2.0 (new = left, old = right).

Just wondering, why are there 2 different tyranitar sprites?

@SharkGuy: Yep, only their Gigantamax sprites are different for obvious reasons.
And blame the fact that the images were originally stored in DXT1 format (a.k.a. the simplest DDS compression) instead of RGBA8888 (full-colour, which they *did* use for other things) for whatever reason. Such a baffling decision, honestly.

Wait, do both Urshifu share one sprite?
Also damn what's with the jpgness in some of these

Wow, I was looking at the new icons, and holy moly, that compression that's baked into these icons is horrible.
Just look at the faces of Pokemon like Rhydon, Marill, Bellossom, and Blissey! They're all weirdly smudged and distorted
Also what happened to Mew's entire icon in general is probably the worst graphical mess up I've ever seen in the Pokemon series! I'd want to fix them all myself, but I tried to do one, and it took a while, and there's about 500 of these!

@TheRedSmarty It's a form referred to in the code as "Dada" which is how Zarude will appear in the next Pokemon movie. It's wearing a pink cape, which I'm sure has some meaning in the story but in the games it appears to basically be like the Cap Pikachus: only different from the regular form in one way, as a reference to the anime.

What is the second Zarude?

@SpatiallyRendering: Oops! That was unintentional, and has been fixed now.

I'm not much of a spriter myself so I don't have anything to say on that matter, but if I may request that next time this is updated (presumably with the Isle of Armor) the Necrozma forms be moved to actually be next to Necrozma rather than Solgaleo and Lunala? Obviously it's not a big deal but it is a tad bothersome in that most of this is in National Dex order, except those forms.

Say Sike Right Now. Me and Mechachu thought they were still, we never checked. They were past the limit in Let's Go? What's the new limit?

@MBCMechachu: A lot of LGPE's icons were past said "15 color limit" though...
Either way, the sprites are the same way they are in the game's files, there's no "cleaner rips" to be had here. Especially considering it's not likely they'll be "fixed" in the next update.

@MisterMike That's not what I was saying at all. I was saying that these sprites in their current state go way over the 15 color limit. This makes them completely unusable for stuff like ROM hacks unless someone were to clean them up.

@MBCMechachu Given that Pokemon games from now on won't have all the Pokemon in them anymore, I don't see us getting a full list any time soon.
