Each world uses the same set of enemies, they just use different graphics. I'm also unsure which graphics are unused. From what I've played, I've never seen the first enemy in any of the worlds, or the fourth enemy jumping.
In each set, there's also some leftover older graphics for the fourth enemy and older explosion graphics. They go unchanged in all sets.
