@SuperNerd It's not actually meant to be his name, "Fortran" is the just part of an unused text string/graphic in this game people attached to him since he has an "F" on his hat. It was probably a mistransliteration of "fortune" rather than a reference to the old programming language. (Also, if decade-plus memory serves, Fortran-Luigi is named Ragamiicho.)
Why is he named Fortran of all things? Is his brother named Cobol?
