Fun fact: This game was the third last Game Boy Color game (in Japan, at least. I really don't know about the Western regions) to be backwards compatible with previous Game Boy models, with the game releasing in 2001, a year after the last SNES game released.
It's quite amusing how even the most minor features can keep an old console (the SNES) alive to some extent.
