@Doc von Schmeltwick so according to the Japanese manuel of Sonic Blast the game does take place on South Island YDZ, RVZ, and BMZ are all on South Island so I guess that clears it up for both of us.
@Datboi Green Hill and Green Hills have the same JP name, so they're the same place.
As for Sonic Blast, I can't remember if the manual says specifically, though the presence of Green Hill would imply South Island. Of course, it might be multi-island like Mania.

@Doc von Schmeltwick well they are slightly different (Plain looking trees) also where does Sonic blast take place?
@Datboimate Green Hill and Green Hills are the same place, just translated slightly different.
@Sanic Hogeheg for starters let's put Sky High by Sleeping Egg Green Hills by well Green Hill and Aqua Lake somewhere by Aqua Planet or Labyrinth there's little I can do though
I think Mecha Green Hill Zone should replace the normal Green Hill Zone
@Ari Well it's not like he was ever there in StH2 8-bit, since he was trapped in Crystal Egg Zone.
Yet Tails says he's not remembering Green Hill Zone at all then call it strange in Generations...

I always figured Gigalopolis was the streets of Star Light....
Clock(w)ork and Sparkling are on here because I'd classify them as districts in-between other zones, Sparkling being the one in-between Spring Yard and Star Light, and Clock(w)ork being in-between Gigalopolis and Scrap Brain, and i will try to see how to incorporate the GG STH2 locations, as just getting the Sonic Chaos ones in was a bit of a pain trying to cramp them into spots where'd they seem to fit
Also, I don't know why Clock(w)ork Zone and Sparkling Zone are on here separately, they weren't "scrapped," just renamed (due to a "w" character not existing in-game in that font and the floating shinies being removed from Spring Yard just as the UFOs were removed from Marble Zone).
Anyways, yeah, it is really cool, and I particularly like how you dealt with the enigma that is Sleeping Egg Zone. If you could find a way to incorporate the STH2 8-bit locations, though, that'd be great.
