it's called a joke, genius
The only reason why he is called Nega Duck is because of two reasons:
1) His debut episode had him as the dark side made manifest of DW, made entirely of negatrons
2) He hails from the Negaverse version of St. Canard, a sort of Twilight Zone where everyone's personality is a complete 180 of their "Posiverse" selves.
