Its really funny how the "turn to ash" animation is just a shrunken down version of the same animation from one of the older Flash games (iirc it was from Karoshi Suicide Salaryman specifically?)

The bush also has a cyan palette for snowy areas, and a bright red-orange in evening grasslands, and the sign sometimes has a gray white portion - while the blue appears purple at night. There's also some rival colors that only appear in certain times while riding the Yonque. The rocks go through a whole lot of colors in the credits.

It was licensed as Philips got the rights from Nintendo with support from Nintendo of America to make sure that it's in character but none of the main Nintendo staff worked on this game, AFAIK only one NOA staff member was involved and credited. It's in the same category as Mario Teaches Typing, Mario is Missing or the Super Mario Bros. Gottlieb pinball machine.
