Kids, there's nothing more cool than being hugged by someone you like, but if someone tries to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's no good! It's your body! No one has the right to touch you if you don't want them to! So what do you do? First, you say no, then you get outta there! Most important, you gotta tell someone you trust, like your parents, your teacher or a police officer.

Someone that worked on 3D Blast said that was part of the original render, but due to the camera angle it looked off.
So they went back and manually changed the sprites.

That's not entirely true.
You see, back then 3D model rendering took a very long time, and it probably took long until they noticed the error in the model's eye positions.

Y'know, I kinda wish the final genesis version was in the Saturn version.
Also, I feel like it was first an error, but it was so funny they kept it in the beta and the Saturn version.

@OffensiveLemon: "Don't worry, he got better."
@Ruskah: I agree that he was supposed to look at the player, but it's not weird because of it being a 16-bit console, I think it was because of a rendering error. I sometimes have that issue with spriting myself.

I think he's supposed to be looking at the player, but due to the 16-bit console, he looks stupid.

That's what I think.

Lazy-eyed sonic, now in HD.

You know, whenever I see this beta render on its own I think "oh this isn't too bad, why's everyone saying it looks derpy?" Then I compare it with the finalized render and go "oh yeah something's VERY wrong here."
Nov 19, 2017, 3:55 PM
That's............... interesting.
Nov 19, 2017, 1:53 PM
It isn't.
Nov 19, 2017, 12:11 AM
YES. It is pretty interesting tho that they kept this derp in the Saturn versions data. Gotta love that high quality face.
Nov 18, 2017, 6:08 PM
Somebody please confirm that this was added in as a joke.
Nov 18, 2017, 5:06 PM
