If WB, Disney, etc. all go down the tubes because they're too busy giving their CEOs golden parachutes and neglecting their creative projects/the needs of their employees who do all the real work, I won't feel bad or miss them at all. Corporations aren't your friends, and they'll always do the greediest thing at every possible moment. |

| Sep 3, 2024 10:26 PM | savingpicturesn64 | Game: Marsupilami | @Ton because Disney are not doing as great than they used to and only been focusing on too much live action films instead of traditional old fashioned animation. I guess you can say 3D is the one to blame. 3D animation is too popular nowadays and as long as the demand for 3D with the filming market as well as movie theaters goes, it will only go higher and higher, replacing hand drawn animation eventually. Least in Japan they are not too greedy over there to replace their over the top anime because they never change. However, other companies like WB and Nick still makes traditional drawn animation besides 3D or live action still being the big norm for American animation. The case with Disney changing to live action garbage could mean budget issues and not just a bad decision to save cost on animation done by pen and paper like they used to many years ago. I honestly wouldn't mind if Dinsey brings back their version in 3D if there any reason they can't go back to doing animation with pen and paper anymore. I don't watch their live action adaptions because its not Disney to me and I think the company should be better off going back to their old roots from the 80s and 60s when they used to be great. So ask yourself, why would you ask that question when we rather see Disney going back to animated filming instead? would you rather see the company going bankrupt when you don't know about their financial status? Of course they needed other companies to join them to make films that Disney normally can't if they are no longer as skilled or productive than others. We must also keep in mind that Roy died around early or mid 2000s who was one of the remaining few Disney brothers from the time when Disney was doing better than today. His death might have played a part of the change with the company's focus to jump from 2d to 3d and live action. Honestly, there no greedier company than Nintendo out there. Hoarding prototypes and harassing their own consumers who are trying to show their appreciation with their dedicated masterpieces! even Nintendo cannot survive alone if not for Game Freak and Hal! Thats why Disney need others not for greed but to help the company financially to gain profit for better films because they are just not doing on their own anymore. They even regret seeing Pixar go after Finding Nemo and Cars was released. thats why Pixar returned to bring us a couple of rather disappointing Toy Story sequels but still Pixar's presence with Disney along with Lucas Films and Marvel are the main resons why Disney is still kicking today even if they are not doing as great as they were in the Disney Afternoon era from mid 90s to 2002. Lets just hope one day we might see Marsupilami from Disney in 2d or 3d animation and not another garbage live action film lol. |
