| Oct 9, 2017 9:47 AM | ShyGuyXXL | Asset: Woohoo Hooniversity Researcher | Too bad the researcher just blinks into the Laser Snifit, instead of morphing into him like on the GBA. If I was working on this game I would've loved to make that animation. In fact, maybe I WILL actually make it myself. |
| Oct 9, 2017 9:24 AM | ShyGuyXXL | Asset: Mecha-Blooper | Is this actually how the sprites are saved in the game's files? Did they actually make seperate sheets for each number of bullets in the blooper, instead of just making one blooper sheet and the bullets are seperate sprites? This would be a huge waste of space. |

| Oct 9, 2017 8:42 AM | Aquarius | Asset: Sonic | Wait...Sonic's sprites are only 39 pixels tall?! He looks huge! VERY nice detailing. |
| Oct 9, 2017 8:38 AM | Aquarius | Asset: Sonic | Actually, reminds me of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Mania's sprites look like a Generations-ified version of the Sonic 1/Sonic 2 sprites. |
| Oct 9, 2017 8:26 AM | MisterMike | Asset: Metal Sonic (Sonic 1 Game Gear-Style) | No prob! |

| Oct 9, 2017 8:14 AM | Filler | Game: Yo! Noid 2: Enter The Void | @LexiPleakleyFan I hope you realize converting a model to the Quake/Goldsrc/Source .MDL format isn't as easy as a click and export. You need to write up a QC with textures converted to their proper formats. That can take an hour or two per model. There's no way I have the time to do that. Yes, I'll be posting them to TMR, but I have no time to compile models. |

| Oct 9, 2017 6:39 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Sonic the Hedgehog | And the thing about OCs? In most countries, IP laws dictate that whoever made the setting they're intended for owns the characters as well. Which means "Darksteel the Hedgeheg" belongs to SEGA, and Sonichu is owned jointly by SEGA and Game Freak. |
| Oct 9, 2017 6:36 AM | ThatReptilianGuy | Asset: Sonic the Hedgehog | @Doc von Schmeltwick: You know, I've never actually stumbled upon any sprite comic on DeviantArt (IIRC). Also, speaking of bad OCs (Or FCs if you want to be technical, unless we're talking about actual original characters); we all know that some of most infamous kinds are the ones that are just blatant recolors of already existing characters. However, there are also times when an "OC" doesn't even look like they belong in the universe they're made for. I've seen some FNaF OCs that look more like they belong in an amateur furry comic than actually in Five Nights at Freddy's. |
| Oct 9, 2017 6:20 AM | N-Mario | Asset: Vs. Wily | Interesting fact: They messed up the positioning of Dr. Wily's left eyebrow on the 3rd frame (Your right side). It doesn't exactly fit the 2D sprite limitations, as they must have moved it 1 pixel higher (from his nose) than it can actually reach on a standard 1x1 pixel art sprite. While this is being displayed on a 2x2 pixel scale. |

| Oct 9, 2017 5:51 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Ankoopa | @KaraszKun Read my comment below. There never were any "Ankoopas." |

| Oct 9, 2017 4:58 AM | KaraszKun | Asset: Troopea | These Troopeas somehow evolved! |
| Oct 9, 2017 4:57 AM | KaraszKun | Asset: Ankoopa | Replacing Ankoopa with a Big Koopa Troopa? Did they pick the one from Jungle of the Giants? |
| Oct 9, 2017 4:40 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions | @Filler After seeing the M&L style in fangames from the past 15 or so years, I'm happy to hopefully finally say farewell to it. Now the only problems are overuse of SMW and Sonic Advanced/Battle graphics. Also, also, also, they did not lose any, any, ANY expression. In most cases, they look almost just upscaled and restyled, but kept stylized. People need to stop saying that. |

| Oct 9, 2017 4:34 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Piranha Bean and Piranha Plants | Piranha Plant AND PIRANHA BEAN. I like the defeated poses have those white spots on the stem, reminds me of the ones from Sunshine. |
| Oct 9, 2017 4:22 AM | LooneyTunerIan | Game: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions | @Filler We're going to have to accept it: This is the new style for the foreseeable Mario & Luigi series. |
| Oct 9, 2017 3:38 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Amy Rose | @SonicHex This is from like 6-8 years before ModGen was even a thing. Darn kids. |
| Oct 9, 2017 3:37 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Ankoopa | "AnKoopa" is an unofficial name. The official English name is "Turtle." And the official Japanese name? Nokonoko. Meaning these were always intended to just be regular Troopas. Meaning they didn't make them boring, they made them less horrifically ugly. |

| Oct 9, 2017 3:35 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Tiara | @SonicHex This is actually a very old sheet. From like, pre-2010. |
| Oct 9, 2017 3:34 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Silver | @Akira Well it is a hard work from the past, literally from about 2006-2008. |
| Oct 9, 2017 3:32 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Sonic the Hedgehog | @VGTurtle Well there's also vore, air-based inflation, transformation, actual non-fetishistic stuff, sprite comics, bad OCs....lots of other stuff on DA than fat. |

| Oct 9, 2017 3:00 AM | Filler | Game: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions | Somewhat opinionated of me, but I feel like the charm was lost in this remake. Many of the sprites look rather generic and less expressive now. Some people are going to say "But the original was off-model and messy. It's just nostalgia". And I'll agree. Some of the sprites in the original were questionable. But even here, everything just looks eh. Off model or not. Also, am I the only one who thinks the outline-less sprites just look unfinished? It looks like they got the basic shading done, and said "eh, it looks presentable to Nintendo. We don't need to do much more". |
