That URL should start with http (preferably https though) and end in one of .png, .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg. Sometimes, copied image URLs, including ones on our site like avatars and icons, end with parameters - you'd need to remove the question mark and anything after it to get the image to be recognized. |

Purchases through the merch store do not convey any privileges on the sites and nothing here is paywalled behind merch purchases or anything else so we're not actually profiting off of the content we don't own here. It would be different if we were selling products with actual sprites on them, for instance, but we would never do that. If merch were a legal liability, so would the ads we run here but the reality is, they're both just keeping the lights on and, in the case of the merch, giving anyone who wants is a way to take a little piece of the site home too. |
