The Spriters Resource Merch Store is Open!
We also have a very special announcement this week - the official Spriters Resource merch store! Just in time for a dramatic heatwave here in the UK, you can now be the proud owner of a t-shirt bearing the logo of your favourite resource site - whether that be Spriters Resource, models, texture or sounds! Each one has their own option available. You can even get yourself some stickers, so you can plaster that old school cool logo anywhere you please. Purchases over $75 come with free shipping, and each item bought will help support the site and allow us to push them further.
This is the first time you can actually help support the site in some way other than contributing to the archive, so we really do appreciate every purchase made. You can even give straight donations directly, but of course, we do this with no expectations. These websites have always been a massive part of my life and I know that they hold a special place in the hearts of many members of the community, so we wanted to let you guys represent them on your person as you go about your day!

can there be a way to disable the merch store popup? it's a bit annoying seeing it always up the top
It's covered on the Formatting & Code Reference page (linked below the comment box) but basically, it's [img]URL[/img]. That URL should start with http (preferably https though) and end in one of .png, .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg. Sometimes, copied image URLs, including ones on our site like avatars and icons, end with parameters - you'd need to remove the question mark and anything after it to get the image to be recognized.
How do you add images? I know you need URLs but nothing I find works.
This website has merch now!? This was quite a surprise, especially after my trip to Chicago.
Yeah, we are specifically only using assets we created ourselves and own. Purchases through the merch store do not convey any privileges on the sites and nothing here is paywalled behind merch purchases or anything else so we're not actually profiting off of the content we don't own here. It would be different if we were selling products with actual sprites on them, for instance, but we would never do that.
If merch were a legal liability, so would the ads we run here but the reality is, they're both just keeping the lights on and, in the case of the merch, giving anyone who wants is a way to take a little piece of the site home too.

Nah. The site isn’t making money off any game content. It’s totally in the clear.
I feel this is a VERY RISKY gamble that could put crosshairs on you from corpos.
Even if the mersh are shirts with the logo and donations, they could attack the archive for earning a profit AT ALL.

I’m ngl I’d 100% wear one of those T-shirts out in public and I’d slap one of the stickers on my PC
I want to say we should have more designs, but.. well, what would we even do? Have the "choose your character" guy/Dazz? A lineup of all the staff for a particular site? Damn, that actually sounds kinda cool, huh.
