@Doc I try to keep the colors as accurate as possible. Sadly, if the color is off by even the slightest margin, it'll be noticeable once you work with them. |

@RQM Wha? |
Sep 7, 2017, 9:26 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Chaos 4 |
@Gaia Chaos 6 was far more so. Also perfect chaos there, although it uses the cutscene model. Also Biolizard. |

@ronny14 I'm still waiting to hear back from one more person about uploading sprites. Hopefully they're the one you're thinking of. |
Sep 7, 2017, 7:52 PM | Gaia | Sheet: Chaos 4 |
This is a very.... pre-rendered sprite I'd say. |
Sep 7, 2017, 7:39 PM | ronny14 | Sheet: Amy Rose |
@Ton These sprites hold up well, and it's cool to see how much the fan artists have evolved since MFZ. there's certainly some great stuff that came from there, and some things that I actually have looked for after MFZ went down. Can't quite recall what they are but if they're worth putting here I'm excited to see them, especially if the background art makes its way through. |

Can we send the 3D Giant Ring and the Special Stage 3D objects to The Models Resource? |

it's unused, as far as I'm aware |

Its weird how when robotnik is in his egg mobile, he looks different and when he is out of it, he's normal |

"Hey Knuckles, meet our new friend Chaos, he..." "THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION HAS RETURNED!!! AAAHHH!" "Well that's not very nice." ....something like that, I can't really remember. |

Wowzer, it's chaos! Great job Damien. |

Even after all these years, the "incomplete" tag is still there. How ironic. Cylent's still around, right? |
Sep 7, 2017, 3:58 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Sonic Pocket Adventure |
@Flash First of all, there are plenty of Sonic Bootlegs on the NES. Second of all, this is actually a 16-bit system. Third of all, NES had tricolor for graphics, with a few exceptions like SMB3 Koopa Troopa being built from 8x8 tiles with different palettes. Admittedly, most sprites from the fighting games for this system (which are posted on Sprite Database but not here, unfortunately) are indeed tricolor, but most of these aren't. Anyways, this plain and simply could not work on the NES. |
Sep 7, 2017, 3:55 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Bean |
@Snessy Because you're seeing the eye outline as mascara. This is another one of the sheets I've missed. |
Sep 7, 2017, 3:54 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Egg Janken / Janken Gapsule (Unused) |
@Snessy Hey, the blue guys from the first level of the Genesis game gave me some design inspiration! Wish the later guys didn't have the mind-reading powers, you actually have to change at the last second typically to win, as seen when you have the crystal to read THEIR minds. Speaking of, Alex Kidd for Genesis is actually quite under-ripped. It's a bit sad, really. |
Sep 7, 2017, 3:51 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Shoot |
@Shy Yes, you can. By raw I men the actual in-game colors, and not a pastiche thereof from bad ripping, like on the sprite sheet for the Princess, Kings and Toads in All Stars-SMB3. Compare the palette there with the palettes from the big Mario sheets and the enemy sheets, which are for the most part consistent. Particularly check the outlines, which in that game were a specific shade of dark grey. The enemies sheet got updated a bit recently, but the new sprites had a slightly-off outline color, but the other colors were right. |

@Ton Really? Guess we'll be seeing DBurraki's (Deebs) old stuff and Damien's larger stuff then? I also remember the MuddFroggy Amy sprites... |

I can image this is how sonic would look on an NES game. |

Sep 7, 2017, 10:17 AM | Snessy the Duck | Sheet: Bean |
Why does he look so feminine (To me at least)? |
Sep 7, 2017, 10:12 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: General Objects |
@Snessy the duck: Already got the logo on my Title Screen sheet: https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/sonicmania/sheet/95588/ And frankly the fonts would be better off on a general "UI" sheet. |
Sep 7, 2017, 9:50 AM | Snessy the Duck | Sheet: Egg Janken / Janken Gapsule (Unused) |
I'm actually kinda glad this was scrapped, did anyone actually like the Janken parts of Alex Kidd? |

Sep 7, 2017, 9:37 AM | Snessy the Duck | Sheet: General Objects |
It's missing the unused Sonic Discovery logo, the leftover early demo menus as well as the rest of the fonts (I think those count as global objects, but they might get their own seperate sheet) |
Sep 7, 2017, 8:34 AM | Gaia | Sheet: Dr. Robotnik / Eggman |
I'm always amused when let's players call Dr. Eggman by his surname. Mission accomplished when resolving the naming issue, eh? |

...Um... Maybe I need to catch up on my Sonic history, but, I don't remember seeing this guy in any sonic games... Edit: Wait, never mind, just saw the "Comics" part of the info. |

Just noticed something, the Dr. Eggman logo on the TV may be refrencing the BND company logo with how it's animated... |

@OnslaughtIsCool: I think it's actually used for the dev's level editor, and not something that can show up in-game. |

Nope, the capsule is there. Under the goal signs. |
Sep 7, 2017, 5:19 AM | Ton | Sheet: General Objects |
You forgot the end-of-stage capsules! |
Sep 7, 2017, 4:35 AM | Ton | Sheet: Amy Rose |
@ronny14 Cylent's stuff still holds up really well. But here was a lot of bad stuff there too. Trust me, I was just given the whole database to comb through. |
Sep 7, 2017, 4:27 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Title Screen / D.A. Garden |
@OnslaughtIsCool: It's the game's "Sound Test" mode. The name itself comes from Sonic CD, where it acted the same way. |
Sep 7, 2017, 4:18 AM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: DD Wrecker |
@blargsnarf: That actually doesn't belong to the DD Wrecker, but it does use the chain sprite from that sheet. The ball itself is a separate object that can be spawned using the Debug mode. |
Sep 7, 2017, 3:15 AM | Deathbringer | Sheet: DD Wrecker |
The boss is literally two of the face balls connected by a chain and destroying one just makes it use a new attack pattern of bouncing. |
