| Oct 4, 2025 8:06 AM | Random Talking Bush | Update: Almost Spoopy Season! | prompt_suggestion The whole reason we have an "approval" system in the first place is because we occasionally get completely unusable, low-quality submissions, or submissions that are straight up plagiarized from other websites (most often Sprite Database, DeviantArt, or in The Models Resource's case, Sketchfab). If we never reviewed anything that was submitted to us and just let it up freely, we would get a lot more complaints about quality standards than we do already. |

How is it against the rules to not use the sprite forum because this is a forum site, idc what ya'll say it is, that its against the rules to upload sprites unless its done in their way. The whole point of an 'archive' is to have the sprites be accessible to use for making artwork, if you can't get it from a place that has key sprites that some games are missing like this one i.e. like the main character, what reasoning do you have for that rule? You can't say its because of copyright because Nintendo would've nuked this site ages ago, and not every game has its game files easily accessible for 'ripping' whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. So riddle me this: If the process of uploading a sprite sheet to the site requires a council of people to judge it, then why even bother letting everyday people upload the sprite to the forum in the first place? It's just so dumb and unnecessary let alone banning them for it, like it's an 'archive', let people upload the sprites the want for the game they like, and stop being a bunch of control freaks. |
