Wow I didn't know they had sprites for using vehicles and such, i don't think any of the existing speedruns have these items to show them using it but for some reason i assumed they'd just use running or jumping animations or maybe something that looks like hovering when they need to have them levitate. Neat. |

@Ton: I think he meant that the sprite itself of the Dino Rhino is unused in SMW, which actually is. It originally was meant to spit fire, but was scrapped, but it seems a modified version of the frames made its way here. |

Hot take but I hope the next game is divided up again. I love the smoother animations and parts that move independently of eachother to give more life to the animation. The stop motion style was a novelty that wore off imo. Made more sense on the 3DS where more intricate animations would be harder to see on a small screen |

Assuming it wouldn't be categorized elsewhere, you seem to have missed the version icons that show up on the corners of the card, as well as a few other marking icons and the assets for the other side. |

Hey all thanks for the kind words. The ripping itself was a two-part process because the game's files are compressed. I first figured out the compression, and when that was done, I wrote a decompressor so I could get the raw binary files (that contain the graphics) out. Klonoa's sprites were easy to find, they are everywhere (in fact, there are a LOT of duplicates so I had to purge probably 90% of the total amount of sprites) but the bulk of it was automated so no problems there. The major hurdle was (and this is likely the reason why these haven't been ripped before...) figuring out the compression and writing a decompressor. |

Interesting that the composition of Mario's sprite in here looks identical to the one from TTYD, whereas the actual animated Mario in SS had his jumping position slightly changed, notably his lower foot is angled differently and his upper hand is out away from the hat. |
