And I think it comes down to how tall they made his eyes, they cover way too much of his face, giving little room for his forehead to properly round out his head (if that makes sense, I hope). It makes his head sort of boxy in shape because of them, and the tallness is just odd.

However, yeah, the line separating his eyes from his muzzle is unnecessary to begin with (though, Advance does the same thing. But since his eyes aren't the height of a skyscraper, it's not as bad on those), and does make him look really tired. His pupils being only dark blue is also slightly strange. I get not making them only cyan since it would blend in with his eyes too much from far away, but Advance already solved this by just shading the pupils with cyan AND dark blue. Battle again simplifies this, but it makes his eyes too dark from far away, which creates the opposite problem.

That's probably the most someone has ever complained on a Battle sprite, definitely not a common thing lol. But I do think they dropped the ball on Tails' appearance in this game. I made some edits to his sprites to address some of the problems, and with only minor adjusting he already looks a lot better (at least in my opinion)!
