From what I can tell, there doesn't seem to be any specific release date for either. BootlegGames Wiki states the ID number for Sonic Jam 6's cartridge is ES48001, while Super Mario 2 1988's is ES48002. This implies that Sonic Jam 6 was released first (or at least made first), however the unchanged Mario graphics and ending text make it hard to to tell. |

Not much about the limitation of the game engine itself but it's more the fact that he was a nightmare to animate in general. They used mocap for the fighters basis which later was tweaked while this being a half animal monster human, 4 legs, means it would be nuts to put together. They already were busy with animating bunch of stuff for Armageddon and this on top would be way too much. And when you look at the other non-fighter animations in that game you can realize that the devs were not that much capable of animating anyway. Instead of animating from scratch or stitching 2 by 2 together they used a easy exit of a generic character animation setting and be done with since it was kinda a throwaway character anyway ... And yes that on his hips plus crotch, metal looking layout that further stretches through his bottom part then forms into his tail collectively is a flamethrower device of sorts. We use to joke around that part collects his fart gas and enhances it then flames it up which as a result becomes a projectile from his tail. XD |

What a load of dogs__t but at least gave me a good laugh again. Reminds me of my childhood too, we had a friend in the neighborhood who's father was a crooked cop who lost his job eventually due to his criminal activities and this kid was simping Stryker stating how he is cool just like his dad and he would also save the world if given the chance LMAO meanwhile reality was his dad was a criminal and a coward too hiding behind his badge that he lost eventually and became a nobody even bigger then before. What a powertrip full of delusions just made it all extra cringe on top but ironically fitting somehow. |
