Using pre-rendered assets for 2D games isn't nothing new-- in fact, it was quite prevalent during the 90s (with Donkey Kong Country and Kirby Super Star being the two examples that come to mind for me.) |

It took me all day to set up due to having to search for all of the palettes (3&K's Super palettes specifically were embedded in the executable), and fix up issues with the sprites themselves (several parts of the sprites had grey pixels which were intended to be transparent, but weren't), never mind the fact that I had to check through four games' worth of sprites for anything unique. You're welcome. |
