Nov 14, 2020, 2:17 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Shields |
The shields from Final Fantasy each with different effects though most just had different defense stats. They functioned similarly to SotN's shield items in that you equipped them and then held a button to activate them. They could get knocked away with a hard enough attack. The Chocobo Shield would lose feathers when it was collided against. When paired with the summoner's rod, it would summon a Chocobo for you to ride around making getting around and away from enemies easier. Diamond Shield reflected lasers back at the enemies. Dragon shield would randomly summon Bahamut when paired with the summoner's rod. Flame Shield did flame damage on contact. Genji Shield turned projectiles into money. Golden Shield doubled the amount of money you picked up from enemies. Onion Shield turned you into an Onion Knight. Ice Shield froze enemies on contact. |
Nov 14, 2020, 2:13 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Items |
Items from Final Fantasy, but I never decided on where you would have gotten them if the game were ever released. |
Nov 14, 2020, 2:12 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Background Airships |

Nov 14, 2020, 2:11 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Malboro |

Nov 14, 2020, 1:41 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Mindy |
This is Mindy from Final Fantasy X as a boss, but was unfinished. She and her sisters would gang up on you and be able to cast Delta Attack/Force on you to petrify you. Idle, turn, firing, needle, trail, and attack base ring. She is as you can see unfinished. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:39 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Magicite Shard |
The magicite shards from the Final Fantasy series. They appeared when an esper died. Their purpose in this game, however, was to enable you to summon them instead of learning magic. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:30 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Kefka's Tower |
This is the Kefka's Tower map icon from the fan game. I made it as close to Amano's artwork as possible. Complete with background. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:29 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Gravity Spell |
The Gravity/Demi spell. It was used by Atmos in the fan game. It functions the same way as in the games by halving your HP. |

Nov 14, 2020, 1:27 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Phantom Train (Interior) Tileset |
Phantom Train tileset! I had a lot of fun here and even reused the same table from the World Tree/Faxanadu section. The screenshot mockup shows fog, spirit orbs, and ghosts everywhere. It is a Halloween lover's dream come true... and I would never go there. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:25 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Alexander Portrait |
Alexander magicite portrait. Extra palette I thought looked cool added as a bonus. |

Nov 14, 2020, 1:15 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Mog |
Mog in the remix of GND as a playable character. I went all out with the dance animations just to be goofy and memetastic. The animations are labelled as is and that's what they are meant for. I tried keeping things as close to the original game's personality and sprites as I could. Yeah, that's the Goblin Halberd I gave him. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:13 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Aeroga |
Aeroga spell from Final Fantasy V in the fan game. Example explains how it is put together. But the lines streak down like raining light. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:12 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Shinryuu |
Superboss = optional boss. Ended up as a pixel art instead of a full sprite set, sadly. Was meant as the end boss of the colloseum in the Final Fantasy world's 2nd Quest. It was an optional area, but he was definitely meant as one of the game's hardest bosses. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:10 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Boko |

Nov 14, 2020, 1:04 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Ramuh |
Beta version of Ramuh. Still wondering if I should have left it as is instead of coming up with the one I used as the final sprite. Idle, talk, ponder, cast thunder, lightning bolts, electricity up the staff, electric field. |
Nov 14, 2020, 1:02 AM | SmithyGCN | Sheet: Ramuh |

These creatures from Final Fantasy IV also appear in Kefka's Tower during the 2nd Quest in the Final Fantasy world in the fan game.
