@blobbychizz: It takes a long time for stuff to get approved. Do you see the pending submissions list? That’s literally everything that hasn’t been approved yet. I actually got the sprites for both airplane and normal Ms. Chalice all ripped, but it just takes a long time for them to be fully approved. Especially saying as they have so much other stuff to do.

@Yawackhary Woah, I didn't know that this PC had so much history. I've seen some other games from it and I really do think it can be very impressive and it has a big power, specially for its time. So if I understand correctly, mode 0 has a rendering comparable to the Atari 2600 where everything is made of lines and blocks and mode 1 is more comparable to the Famicom where you have 4 color palettes sprites(and much possibly tile-based rendering), right? But just out of curiosity, how does its audio capabilities compare to its rivals(NES, Comodore64...)?

I like the icon. It has a amazingly smooth animation. Also, I don't think that having the logo in the middle of the sheet makes it any ugly. I think it looks cool this way and it is very proportional in that position and scale.

@RealMargaretThatcher The opponents did actually appear in AOSTH first. (The very first episode no less! They're a bunch of bounty robots Rrobotnik created and sends after Sonic before creating Scratch and Grounder)

@aiman i know sprite sheets that are mainly OCs shouldn't be allowed, and that's ok. But i wish OCs can be included in sheets that aren't mainly about them.

Thanks for the shoutout as always, really liking some stuff this update especially Wonder Project, Super Metroid and Eternal Champions CD. The latter really had some good stuff ripped lately and really glad that Th3E0r53 got their well needed shoutout.

Looking at my Amstrad backlog, I don't think that I'm going to match it. Maybe an extra 100 or so sheets and probably going to be under my SNES count by the end (really am getting towards the more business end and wanting it done and dusted as much as I can), even then the SNES count will go up slightly due to that backlog. Genesis is still going to be the king. Probably if anything, maybe a few in the future all things considered.

This version feels more like a tech demo than a finished game. No Tim Follin music despite being credited and appears in every other version that's not the original arcade Rally 2011 version that this is based off. Unoptimized repeating colors in the palette (was this planned to be a Mode 1 game then changed to Mode 0 throughout development?). Can repeatedly get killed in a loop if you managed to spawn in the background. You end up getting a Game Over unaware on why because the most important element (the HUD, said HUD contains an energy bar) doesn't display unless you press Escape that pauses the game. If you accidentally press it twice, you quit the game!

So unfinished...

@Alefy San Well... considering that it was a computer that was more or less widely released in the UK, France and Spain with the latter two being a success, it is understandable why for most people they haven't heard of it. Funny how you mentioned Famicom since this came out a year later than that but before the NES.

As for graphics, it really does depend on the game since there's so many styles perhaps more so than most systems at the time especially that there were two main modes and some games even had both at the same time. Meaning that you'll have a hard time making custom sprites unlike the Atari 2600, C64, Spectrum, SG-1000/Colecovision, NES, Master System, etc where they have more of a house style. Some later games get towards NESlike (Switchblade, Striker in the Crypts of Trogan, some Mojo Twins games, Robin Hood: Legend Quest that was a NES port) or colorized Game Boy (e.g. The Blues Brothers, Hudson Hawk, both cases are literal since they use the same sprites) but because of being 3rd place in the UK and that was the largest country outside of Japan in the 1980s for games after the US console gaming crash, it got quite a lot of Spectrum ports. Something that is really hard to explain from an international POV. Meaning that there were games at worst only had two colors but usually try to fit it in the 4 color palette of Mode 1 (more if rasters are used, a trick can get up to 7/8) even if it might be less colorful/funky than the Spectrum original.

Personally I'll put it in between the Atari 5200 and the Master System in terms of capability for the Mode 0 games (the colorful blocky look with the best looking games reaching more of the latter but still blocky) and the Spectrum with a bit of the NES or a higher resolution colorized Game Boy for the Mode 1 games. Speaking of which, some people had to make do with a green monitor making EVERYTHING look like a OG Game Boy regardless of mode.

Bridge-It happens to be on the worse side of the Mode 0 scale and it would look bad on an Atari 5200 but many of the early games are like that. Especially like this awful game, it was often the case of only having 1 person making the entire thing.

There is a proper console called the GX4000 (based on the Amstrad Plus revision) with graphics comparable to the Master System but it didn't really take off... Neither did the Amstrad Plus.

No worries, I uploaded a fixed version of these with the Altair tileset. FWIW I also found it quite difficult to get all the right color palettes for the tiles, given how they're stored in the file.

Rather surprised that this only came out in France since the game is iconic enough.

Then again it was released by Broderbund and most of their games on the computer were either French only or were also released in Spain with the exception of Prince of Persia that got an UK release via Domark. Plus it was released on March 1990 despite the 1989 copyright making it rather old and one of the last OG ports since it got sequels and remakes even back then.
