Fair, IP law is an unfair bitch.
The Inkagames team was already succumbing to the Copyright Demons at this point,so they have to tweak both the color schemes and the names of the characters. Gotta be real,it gets progressively more worser the more they do it

Not sure why it has pink shoes here. I'd say it's due to the color palette as a whole leaning towards the 8-bit games, but none of those had Sonic with pink shoes.
