Probably named after the POKEY audio chip.
Neat, I had a unfinished enemies sheet of this game on my PC for a year now!
According to the games manual, The ‘Turtle’ enemies are called “Pokeys.”
because of the aspect ratio, but its not that hard to fix it.
(i can be wrong)
