The last time I remember using YouTube before they discontinued it on the 3DS it was just mirroring the mobile site on the bottom, with the top screen obviously being the video player. After it was discontinued I just continued to watch YouTube on the built in web browser.
Gaming
The most modern console I had is a PS2 slim. Seeing youtube running on a console just seems impressive and unnatural at the same time. Seems like consoles have changed a lot. ;-;
