Unlike the other bullet bills that just had smiles all the time, this guy frowned when aiming in the original game so the lack of a mouth here actually takes charm away from the character.
Don't care much about the other bullet bill enemies since they were just a byproduct of the times, but this guy actually loses a little personality. :(
