They should be like the shareware versions, but some companies like iD Software after noticing how many people were not buying the full game of Doom as they thought the shareware version was all it had to offer, they made Doom II not have a shareware version at all. That, and also since Doom II is pretty much the same as the first Doom but with new levels, and other improvements like being able to look up.
all demos need to be like the shareware, id like to play doom 2 map02 with my friends in xbox 360
I only had the trial version of this, and giving money to the stripper always interrupted the game to tell me I'd be getting an achievement if this was the real thing. Speaking of, does anyone else think the trial versions of certain games should have been based directly on the shareware versions, or would that have been too generous?
also honestly demos should either be shareware or at least half of it because one level demos suck and feel really lazy
