I know this is like 4 years late, but it's there now! it was added last year.
I don't see Namco Roulette.
mr game and watch is a model thats flattened aswell as having the shaders removed from him + his tecture being completely flattened, you could flatten him and give him shaders to make him a 3D character which i find extremely cool

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that the items follow the same logic as G&W
where its technically a model just flattened so one axis is at 0.001 (i believe) making it able to interact with fighters

there is a way to get the HDRI they use in each scenario? if you look at a character (especially kirby) when it becomes metal, an HDRI image looks depending on the stage
