Stand against racism, hate, and police brutality - #BlackLivesMatter
I’d like to quickly address the negativity displayed in the comments of last week’s update. Neither we nor anyone else using the phrase “Black Lives Matter” is suggesting that they matter more. They don’t claim that they’re the only victims of police brutality or the only targets of ignorance, hate, and racism. They simply want an end to the systemic racism they experience on a day-to-day basis, especially at the hands of the police, and that is something that everyone should be able to agree with unequivocally.
So I’ll leave you with this: We at The VG Resource stand with Black Lives Matter and against racism and police brutality. The changes they’re pushing for will benefit everyone and they deserve the justice they’re seeking. If these statements somehow offend you, nobody is forcing you to stay but remember this moment when you find yourself on the wrong side of history. And if you are choosing to be on the wrong side of history and are in fact just racist, do us all a favor and leave.
No new content will be highlighted in this update out of respect and in an effort to avoid distracting from the issue at hand. Instead, take a look here to see how you can help if you feel so inclined.

Alright, I've seen enough. Pulling out the big guns. People, stop talking if you have nothing worthwhile to say. And no, debating whether this "belongs on a sprite website" or not is not worthwhile. We've established this 500,000 times by now and we're frankly getting sick of having to spell that out for you. We are going to stand for what's right and if you don't like it that's too damn bad.
Get over it already. Stop looking at the comments and the front page if you don't like it and by all means, don't get involved if you have nothing good to say (hint, much of the stuff said here is not good). None of us at the staff care whether you get buttmad over lack of sprites or leave because of that. There are people that have some common sense that look up to us and are happy with what we are doing. So y'all can shit your diapers all you want, we're never going to stop doing what's right. Forget the stupid sprites for a minute, you can always come back next week to see them but this is Kind Of Actually Important.

Imagine believing the protection of basic human rights and demand for police accountability to be "radical politics." This shouldn't be a political issue at all.

But this comments section is a train wreck. Telling your users to get fucked, editing their comments and posting sarcastic GIFs only adds fuel to the fire. There are much smoother ways of replying to people, if there's any need to reply at all.
