I was really struggling when I had to correctly layer everything to form the complete map. This is why I used all these weird workarounds like splitting the shadow / water layer and having a black bg. Turns out the secret was just to use the shadow / water layer twice, first as the bottom layer and in the end as the final overlay with blend mode normal & 50% opacity (just like ToP).
Anyway, revision is on the way. Sheet will be much smaller too, with only 4 layers instead of 9.
