Wow, they really combined the throwable box and the playable character? That's kinda rare since it takes up more space, but good to know.
Interesting... first of all, I ripped these sprites using Mesen (not the best emulator for ripping but it's my preferred emulator). Second of all, I checked the tile viewer and it seems that the box+Chip sprites are already merged by default (I suspected this since the color palette for the box matches Chip's color palette ONLY when being held, and the box disappears for a single frame when being thrown in-game)
Btw, since the box is a separate sprite object, it can be deleted with either ZSNES quicksaves & vSNES, or by using bsnes-rawpalettes (which is way easier, since vSNES requires a quicksave for each frame unless you find the sprites in tile viewer).
