@ilovescratchcie, actualy, in Japan Nintendo saw Mario as for teenagers and adults, because he kills things, the actualy considered adding blood to super mario bros. but to Americans localizing the game, they thought Nintendo was a kid friendly all ages company, thus, if the base Nintendo did something controversial to the Nintendo of America's image, they would be screwed, thus they were kid friendly, until the switch eshop existed...
