These enemies have actual names, the red slimes that go about are called "Asterslimes", the "cocoon" slimes that dropped down from the rising towers are called "Pippi Pyro" (Piyo Pyro?) and the birds that spawn from the Pippi Pyro (who also looks infected) are called "Pyrofly" or "PyroFlyer".
Though this is trying to make the machine translations clear from a manual page shared from this blog:
